Day Three in the Bahamas

Random thoughts since the morning.

i realized i would do everything different if I was here with friends instead of family… we’d have brought skateboards and guitars. We’d be jamming by the beach side, skating all over the place, swimming lots, downing cocktails, chatting it up to ppl 😛 the weather is kinda cool for my parents so we have to miss out on alot of swimming.

I’m a kind of person to do crazy spontaneous things haha. Not the real wild stuff that involves getting drunk or whatever you’d think of, but rather, creative things. Like… backflipping off of ledges, randomly doing a dance choreography LOL Yep that’s the kinda stuff i like to do.  I’m kinda crazy in that way.

I want to film a music video here! hahaha I can imagine pretending to be a snobby R&B pop artist singing love songs to a girl i meet here LOL. pics don’t do this tropical resort justice. Sitting here.. the ocean breeze, the sun, the white resort architecture, green palm trees, blue sky, and probably pink like the shirt i’m wearing would be perfect. LMAO has to have this cocky pretty boy kind of air to fit here LOL. spoiled, stuck up lifestyle is what this is. xD With friends we’d definitely film more video stuff probably. live vlogs and then edit it all into a music video of some sort after. That’s what I always do anyway.

Well, I just lost all my ranting/writing mood because I’ve been watching the news about Japan… and the flooding in the states and things happening around the world. The tragedy in Japan is insane… the nuclear reactors, the millions of people affected, thousands and thousands missing… It’s breaking my heart. Things are coming to an end. Here I am enjoying myself but halfway around the world…soon… it’s depressing to think of the fate that might await all of us… ugh… Well only cheerful thing was that bill Nye the Science Guy was on tV. i haven’t seen him in years! he’s totally my childhood lol. I watched every one of his shows. miss those shows so much. lol. that’s where we all learned our science hahaha

anyway I’ll do what i can and give you a tour of today!

So after breakfast and a walk around,

and then lunch, we were due for our city tour! It was awesome 😛 The bus took us all around the island, awesome coastal views and lots of amazing stuff. finally something exciting instead of the plain old boring overly peaceful resort life LOL. It was kind of expensive though and definitely didn’t really take us to the places we wanted to stay. It took us to random British forts back when the Bahamas were under British control. There was an area where it was a rundown slums kind of neighbourhood. And when we returned to the hotel the bus was so busted and rickety, with the door open, like a helicopter, haha there I discovered something about myself. Maybe its because of all the missions trips i’ve been to and the rural areas i’ve helped out in, or maybe it’s my artistic side. But I guess i’m able to admire any kind of environment. where my parents were complaining, i was totally enjoying the experience. The more run down, desolate, third world-like locationshas its own kind of wild, rough beauty. Like some kind of war torn, weathered, overgrown jungle with old ruins and hidden treasures, it is so artistic in its own right. Didn’t really take pics of that stuff though.

The rest of the more exciting downtown core we just drove through until after where he dropped us off in the shopping area. I took videos throughout the entire trip. I quickly threw them together on imovie and put on IU’s Song XDDsorry for the shaky camera, crappy quality and bad editing. it was done in like 10 minutes XD Here it is! Watch this:

Hmm.. I love my wide angle lens… it makes things look so good (though sometimes blurry) and captures so much more! 🙂

We stopped by the downtown core and went esp to check out the famous “straw market”. which is made out of booths under a large makeshift roof that covers wall and walls and corridors and corridors of cheap handcrafted merchandise and souvenirs.

We moved on towards the harbour and got glimpses of a gathering evening crowd

And there’s a little froggy mascot at the front of Senor Frog XD

Some shops we were in, my mom was looking at the beach towel wrap things again. Now, this is smexy. LOL i like this style 😛 actually i like a lot of different fashion styles but lol

Well, sunset.

And good night from me!

Tomorrow I’m heading back home at 11pm. I’ll be arriving at 2am EST. and… probably get back home at 5. Allnighter tomorrow pretty much. > < That completely sucks!!!

Well, take care

praying for Japan

stay strong everyone!

love,

taka-oppa
