LOL So today I started writing songs for Secondhand Memories! I have never written an actual song on the piano before this is my first… I started off with a crappy version of this song written with guitar, then scrapped the melody, got on the keyboard and then this came out. I personally I’m kinda proud of this. I think the chorus is pretty good XD I’m actually surprised.

But anyway, this is for the Secondhand Memories OST.

*Originally written in Japanese for Japan and all the victims of the disasters last year. Japan has always been a huge part of my life and Japanese culture, music, fighting spirit has always influenced me and is what inspired me and kept me going throughout the years towards my dreams. It was heartwrenchingly painful and traumatic to experience it all, despite being across the globe. Almost being powerless, so I couldn’t help but need to do something with music. We will continue to fight and pray for recovery and those still suffering. We won’t forget and we still have hope. The song of encouragement is dedicated to everyone out there fighting for the future, for dreams of better tomorrow.

「明日の夢」は去年の東日本大震災後に日本為に書いたオリジナル曲です。日本で起きたことを見て、とても悲しかったです。でも、どんなことがあても、日本はいつもすべてを尽くして一生懸命頑張っています。同様に、日本の音楽にも、私は深く影響を受け、常に希望と勇気を与えられていますから、私も音楽を作って夢に向けて頑張れたのです。皆さんに「頑張ってください！」と励ましたいんです。ずっとずっと頑張りましょう！
